Ghostbusters è una serie televisiva del genere Animazione creata da Filmation, distribuita da Tribune Entertainment e lanciata in seguito al successo di Ivan Reitman e del film della Columbia Pictures del 1984 Ghostbusters. Dall'8 settembre al 5 dicembre 1986 sono stati prodotti 65 episodi. La serie è basata su uno spettacolo televisivo dal vivo ambientato nel 1975 intitolato The GhostBusters. Non deve essere confuso con lo spettacolo animato The Real Ghostbusters, basato sul film Ghostbusters del 1984. La Columbia Pictures ha dovuto ottenere i diritti sul nome per il suo film, e dopo che Ghostbusters è stato un successo, la Filmation è entrata in produzione con le sue serie animate basate sui personaggi della serie.
