브리스틀 코브는 한때 인어들의 보금자리였다는 전설로 잘 알려진 해안 마을이다. 정체불명의 여인이 마을에 나타나 이 전설이 사실임을 입증하자, 인간과 바다 사이의 싸움은 악화된다.
