Sobre o que é Initial D?
Ambientada na província de Gunma durante os anos 90, a série conta a história de Takumi Fujiwara, um estudante do ensino médio que trabalha como frentista em um posto de gasolina e ajuda a loja de tofu de seu pai fazendo entregas diárias para o hotel no Monte Akina com o carro de seu pai, um Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-APEX (AE86). Takumi faz essas entregas desde os 13 anos. Como resultado, suas habilidades são altamente refinadas, permitindo-o pilotar durante qualquer condição climática. Por causa disso, grupos de corrida de toda a província de Gunma desafiam Takumi para ver se ele realmente tem o que é preciso para ser uma lenda das estradas.
