该剧改编自小说《Good bye，Yonder》，以2040年代Ubiquitous环境下的韩国大都市为背景。男主的妻子因为癌症去世，沉浸在丧妻的悲痛中的他突然收到一封邮件，之后决定舍弃自己的躯体，前往能和妻子再在一起生活的Yonder。 “Yonder”是指不死永生的世界，该剧将通过Yonder讲述永生与死亡、记忆与忘却、幸福与不幸的真谛。
